College Savings Plans
College Savings Plans include 529 Plans, Coverdell Plans, and Alternative College Plans. Indexed Universal Life (IUL), as a part of a longer-term savings goal, may augment college savings. But with the number of years until college being less than 18 years, IUL will not likely surpass the accumulation of other investments that soon - even though it does provide tax-deferred build-up. However, using leverage on an IUL that is ultimately intended for a longer goal may make sense as a whole.
